In 2018 Google searches found that 53% of local mobile visitors left on a page took longer than three seconds to load. The latest study shows that people absolutely hate webpages. “In our analysis of 5.2 million pages,” Brian Dean reported for Backlink in October 2019, “the average time it takes to fully load web pages is 10.3 seconds on desktop and 27.3 seconds on mobile.” In 2013, Radware calculated that the average web page load time on mobiles was 4.3 seconds. Between 20, the average web page weight has increased from about 100 KB to 4 MB. Not only has the number of pages exploded, the weight of each page has also skyrocketed. In 2019 they are estimated at 1.7 miles, nearly one place for every three people on the planet.
